Want to learn more about how our outdoor world works? Need some extra Merit Badges? Looking for extra homeschool credits? SUBJECTS/MERIT BADGES: Bird Studies · Fish & Wildlife Management · Soil & Water Conservation · Environmental Science · Weather · Oceanography 6 hours per day, 5-day course All supplies will be provided Campfire graduation with S'mores on the last day Ages 9–17 (firm) Field trips will be included and locations vary month to month. Transportation is not included but carpooling is allowed between families. Special transportation arrangements can be made with the instructor prior to field trip day if needed. BRING: Sack Lunch · Water · Sunscreen · Foldable Camping Chair Camp will be held at the Pacheco Marsh in Martinez for the first few days, and then finish up at Heather Farm's natural Lake @ 301 N San Carlos Dr, Walnut Creek. HOMESCHOOLERS: This camp typically counts as a 0.25 elective or science credit. These credits apply only to students operating under a Private School Affidavit (PSA) filed with the California Department of Education (CDE). Please contact your public school or advisor for more information if you are enrolled in special programming such as Home & Hospital to verify qualification. SCOUTS: We are registered merit badge counselors approved by Scouting America and blue cards can be signed. You must be at least age 11 to qualify for the Merit Badges listed above. This is so much more than a class. It's an experience with games, team building and prizes.
